In world news, the U.S. military makes some significant gains in its ongoing fight against ISIS in Iraq; and two weeks after Kim Jong-Nam was assassinated, his half-brother, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, ordered the executions of five more officials within his inner circle.

In national news, ordinary Americans took to the streets over the past weekend in a surprise demonstration in support of the news media as an uniquely American institution; and President Trump is set to formulate his first-ever federal budget for Fiscal Year 2018.

In local news, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was questioned by federal prosecutors last Friday for alleged corruption.

And finally, Brooklyn College will host a special screening of the documentary, “Disturbing the Peace,” next Monday, March 6, 2017, from 6:30-9:30 PM.
