WBCR DAILY HEADLINES 5.12.16

In world news, ISIS claimed responsibility for a series of suicide bombings that killed at least 90 people yesterday in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad; and Italy’s Parliament finally approved a law allowing the creation of same-sex civil unions yesterday evening.

In national news, federal investigators reveal that arson caused a deadly explosion of a fertilizer plant in Texas over three years ago; and two defense lawyers of a 9/11 mastermind accuse the US Government of destroying evidence relevant to a crucial trial.

In local news, two citizens’ rights groups filed a civil rights complaint with the Department of Homeland Security over a jail that lacks its own state of health; and there is still no gas for an Upper East Side apartment building that has numerous problems.

And finally, stay tuned to the whole newscast for a very important announcement from me.
