In national news, over 5,000 professors in Pennsylvania walked out of their classrooms on strike yesterday; and the Governor of Vermont offers a solution to combat the opioid crisis in his state.

In local news, a coalition of energy companies filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan court yesterday to challenge Governor Andrew Cuomo’s authority on regulating nuclear plants in Upstate New York.

And in sports, a new quarterback is in town for the New York Jets after their fourth loss in a row.
