In world news, a federal investigation has been launched to solve the murders of 10 members of a never-before-seen tribe in Brazil. A local source says that these killings prove that indigenous groups in the country are more vulnerable than ever before.

In national news, Hurricane Irma is the latest catastrophic storm devastating America, as it is defined by overfilled shelters, county-wide curfews, and damage to personal homes.

And in local news, most of Brooklyn College’s performances this season will be in Manhattan. A case of asbestos forced the hand of the performers to go Off-Off Broadway.
