In national news, more red flags are being raised about the gunman that killed 26 people and wounded over 20 others in the Texas church shooting three days prior; and the Trump administration supports the idea of mandating Medicaid recipients to do work or community service.

And in local news, as expected, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio easily won a second term last night, and the result was a landslide.
