In world news, North Korea launched its newest and most powerful Intercontinental Ballistic Missile yet; and a former Libyan militia leader was the first person to be successfully prosecuted for his involvement in the 2012 Benghazi attack.

In national news, a federal court settled the leadership dispute at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, but court battles still loom; and the Air Force now admits that besides the gunman in the Texas church shooting, dozens of others like him were not added to the federal background-check database.

And in local news, the man that rammed a small pickup truck into innocent bystanders in Lower Manhattan almost a month ago pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
