In world news, U.S.-backed Syrian forces successfully captured Syria’s largest oil field from ISIS yesterday; and there are angry protests in Malta over the murder of a prominent investigative journalist.

In national news, the deaths of two hikers in a national park are believed to be a murder-suicide because they were never found by rescuers since they were missing in late July. They were ultimately found last week after their deaths.

And in local news, Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio have another transportation debate: self-driving cars in Manhattan; Meanwhile, Mayor de Blasio plans to add 21 more Select Bus Service routes over the next decade.
